Shop owner hits out at police

TIS IS NOT ON: Netta Cooke says windows at her dress shop and dry cleaning business have been damaged several times through the years.

She said: "Where are the police? They have never caught the offenders.

Sirens dress shop, inamilton Road, Sudbury, had its front window cracked last weekend, causing £1,400 of damage.

Verity Pearson, from Sudbury and Great Cornard Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "We know that it can be frustrating for business owners but we can only act on the information we receive.

"It is just ridiculous. ".

Since opening Sirens 14 months ago, Netta Cooke, fromalstead, said the shop's large window has been damaged twice, while her dry cleaning business in Great Eastern Road has had doors and windows vandalised several times since it opened in 1997.

"We must focus our resources on areas such as the town centre where a lot of incidents are known to happen.
