KAILA - THE Playland, a place where children spanning various ages can enjoy bouncing off the jumping castle, gliding around on the water slides or enjoying a dip in the toddlers pool, theres a lot more to do at the Laucala Bay multipurpose courts every Saturday. We have attendants to look after the children while their parents are away but some parents stick around to watch over the children so its a fun day for everyone. Most parents came up to us asking about the bouncy castles so we decided to come up a plan to make the Playland more visible, Mr Tawayaga said. Others study at the University of the South Pacific and dropped their toddlers off before heading to school for studies. Council events and promotions manager Eroni Tawayaga told Kaila! they received positive feed back about the program especially from parents and guardians. Since opening, weve received a positive response. Were open every Saturday until or unless theres a booking at the multipurpose courts. Mr Tawayaga said they also had side activities like basketball and netball for interested youngsters. |
