Seafood aplenty for Easter fare SEAFOOD retailers across the Clarence have plenty of premium fresh product ready for customers to indulge in the traditional Good Friday seafood feast. "For those people not wanting to cook at Easter, hot and cold catering packs are available from both our retail outlets at Yamba and Iluka. The owner of Grafton's Naeco Blue Seafoods, Colin Hambly, said Easter seafood supplies were looking the very best they had in many years due to good recent weather. She said the store would be open 7am-7pm over Easter. Clarence River Fishermen's Co-operative general manager Danielle Adams said its Yamba and Iluka retail stores will be open from 7am to 7pm today and tomorrow and 10am-7pm over the rest of the Easter period. "If people don't want to get the fish themselves and prep it we would certainly be here cooking and they can sit and eat on the beautiful deck out the front. "People will be able to purchase fresh prawns, bugs and fish which are all in plentiful supply," she said. "For people who like to cook seafood on the barbecue I have got some herb and garlic seafood skewers. Maclean's Clarence River Seafood's owner Debbie Scaife said everybody's Easter seafood feast was covered, with good supplies of king and school prawns, a huge range of fresh fish, bugs, fresh Tasmanian scallops, king crab claws, calamari and crabs. "Easter is looking the very best it has looked for some years. Naeco Blue will be open 8am-7pm today and 10am-7pm tomorrow. |
