| Quad City Animal Welfare Center to hold Kind Kids Camps The Quad City Animal Welfare Center continues to be a leader in the community by carrying on the tradition of educating our young people to be humane and compassionate to all beings, knowing that kind acts can influence us all. These activities are all designed to help children develop respect and a positive attitude toward all living beings. QCAWC Adoption Center is open Monday-Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm with extended hours on Wednesday until 6:00 pm and on Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. QCAWC is the only full service no-kill animal shelter located in the Quad Cities. More information may be obtained by calling the QCAWC at 309-787-6830 ext. Our Low Cost, High Quality Vaccination Clinic is open every Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. and the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with no appointment necessary. Space is limited and on a first come first serve basis. Kind Kids Camp is free to all participants, made possible by funding received from the Milan Women's Club. The first day of camp (Thursday) will incorporate humane education, games, crafts, shelter tours, and hands-on animal activities at the shelter.
