| Agri Squads Raid Pesticide Dealers
Law enforcement agency of the department of Agriculture Kashmir in its campaign to check and control sale and distribution of spurious fertilizers, pesticides and seeds to the farming community raided godowns of various pesticides dealers of Anantnag district Monday. Meanwhile similar raids on the godowns and shops of various pesticides dealers of Baramulla district in Pattan area were conducted where M/s Green Revolution Main Bazar Pattan, Pest Control Pattan, Good Luck Traders Palhallan, Pattan, Bhat Pesticides Palhallan Pattan and Ehsan Pesticides Hanjiwera Pattan were found indulging in sale of various pesticides without inclusion in their license and therefore on spot sale stop orders were issued for such products. An official spokesman said these dealers were indulging in sale of various pesticides and insecticides in contravention of insecticides Act 1968 and were not able to produce authorized licenses for such products. Sampling of pesticides is being carried out from these dealers so as to get them analysed from quality control lab for their genuineness. |
