Fire Destroys Carpet Cleaning Truck in Noyac

Around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, Trevor Perry of Chem Dry, a carpet-cleaning service, was nearly halfway through cleaning the carpets of a two-story home on Sylvan Drive in Noyac, when he noticed the carpet cleaner he was using started to lose suction.

When he stepped outside to check on the exhaust-located inside the company van, which was parked in the driveway-he found something unexpected: the car was engulfed in flames.

Pictures of the blaze show bright orange flames overwhelming the entire vehicle, and thick plumes of black smoke stretching up into the sky.

Perry said the van and all of the equipment inside it were all insured.
