Work-at-Home scams skyrocket in tough economy If it sounds too good to be true, just hit the delete button and move on.

In spite of the come-on they're only out for your money and your personal information.

But seriously? $1,000 a week with no experience? In this economy, work-at-home scams are skyrocketing.

"They would talk about, if you're out of work and laid off.

When you've spent hours in line at job fair competing for face time and burned your eyeballs tracking leads on the computer, the promise of being able to make extra money working from home has powerful appeal. If you work more than that you could make $5,000," said Brunner.

"The first one would be that I got it unsolicited," she said.
