Wounded goose evades animal welfare workers

TULSA - A wounded goose is still on the loose in west Tulsa.

When Animal Welfare officers approached, the goose flew away.

The woman called wildlife authorities Friday but hadn't heard back.

Letcher says the arrow didn't appear to have punctured any vital organs and wasn't inhibiting the bird's ability to fly.

Jean Letcher, manager of the Animal Welfare office, says workers went out Monday morning to retrieve the goose.

Letcher says the Animal Welfare office won't try to retrieve the goose again.
