A YOUNG hairdresser has reached the final of one of the industry's most well-known competitions. She said: "It was amazing to even get through to the regional finals. "Getting through to the finals almost means that you've got a big chance of winning it now. Miss Meredith added: "I haven't really had a day off for a few months, just getting into it and working along with a designer and a make-up artist. Miss Meredith, of Great Dunmow, qualified having progressed from the southern regional heat in London. "It starts off with 800 applicants and it's now down to just 36. "You have to put all your spare time into it really. If she manages to win the national final at the Roundhouse, in Camden, in October, Miss Meredith will then have the opportunity to put her talents to the test in the international finale in Madrid later this year. |
