| Over 9500 establishments covered by pest control drive
The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) in South Sharqiyah governorate concluded a 45-day pest control drive. The operation had two apparent objectives: Educating citizens on health problems caused by rodents and highlighting the diseases transmitted to humans by pests and ways to prevent them. The campaign focused on managing pests and minimising risks and dangers they pose to society. '. The campaign covered 9,352 houses, 170 deserted or destroyed houses, 41 stockyards, and six parks in coastal regions of Jabal al Kahrbaa, Al Murtafea Sector, Al Shaabya, Al Bar, Shryah and Synsyllah. A task force of 30 specialists, split up into six teams, ran the campaign from March 17 to May 2. |
