Eco products: garden pest control

Every garden bug is a meal for something else, so before you reach for the spray gun, think about the environment.

This spray from Neudorff is effective on contact against a wide range of sucking and biting insects. Unless you actually spray a bee or pollinating insect, they are less likely to have any long-term effect.

Bee aware

Just because a product is natural doesn't mean it will not kill beneficial insects too. Contains pyrethrum. Look out for gritty granules, insect-proof mesh and netting and an entire host of root collars and copper tape barriers. The products featured here are not systemic, as compared to many insecticides, so are active for much shorter periods. Great for children.
