| Spring Mala for Animal Rights in NC
Come meet Susie, Bailey and Laila Ali and help us raise money for Susie's Hope. We will be celebrating Susie and the changing of the seasons with a mala - 108 rounds of sun salutations honoring the Vernal Equinox and the changing of laws in NC to support animal welfare. Susie's Law In June 2010, NC Legislators unanimously voted to raise the penalties for those convicted of Felony Cruelty to Animals to a Class H Felony. This new law went into effect on December 1, 2010. The Vernal Equinox is a time of rebirth and new life. Here at 1:00pm come meet Susie, Bailey, and Laila Ali and hear about current North Carolina rights issues in NC and what we can do to make a difference. We'll chant a cycle of OM to set our intentions, planting seeds for new growth and watering them with the sweat of our devotion. |
