HF Holidays takes over its 21st hotel HF Holidays has purchased the lease of the 45-bedroom Peveril of the Peak hotel in the Peak District, taking its portfolio of UK properties up to 21. The majority of the properties have a four-star guest accommodation rating from VisitEngland. The company is owned by more than 32,000 members, who each have a shareholding of between £100 and £20,000. "The Peak District has consistently been a popular destination for guests and members, and as such it has been a long-time aim to enhance the size of our accommodation in the immediate location," said Fraser Lord, head of hotel operations for HF Hotels. Most of its hotels, which have a total the necessity of more than £20m, are wholly-owned, but three - including Carflwyn Hall, Holnicote House in Exmoor, Devon, and Monk Coniston in Cumbria - are leased from the National Trust. ? Over the past year, HF Holidays has launched a branded restaurant concept called Dandelion Cafes, which is intended to provide the warmth and welcome of a traditional British tearoom with a modern twist. The Peveril of the Peak in Thorpe, Derbyshire, is the fifth hotel taken over by HF Holidays in the past year, alongside Dolserau Hall and Craflwyn Hall, both in Gwynedd, North Wales; Long Mynd hotel, Church Stretton, Shropshire; and Lulworth Mill House, Lulworth, Dorset. Four are now open, including the original one at the Lulworth Mill House, with a further three in the pipeline. |
